

Israeli industrial designer Amir Glinik has come up with an incredible Ferrari motorcycle concept using a modified engine from the Ferrari Enzo supercar. Using drive-by-wire technology, the V4 superbike features hand controls adapted from an F-16 fighter jet and buttons based on those found on the steering wheel of Ferrari’s Formula 1 racecars. Other controls for the sound system and trip computer are located on an all weather touchscreen.

City Center, a green development project coming up in Las Vegas, is the largest privately financed development in North America. It’s an $8 billion venture between MGM MIRAGE and Dubai World, the first building is scheduled to be opened at the end of 2009. On completion of the entire City Center project, it includes a resort casino, two non-gaming resort hotels, and almost 500,000 square foot retail and entertainment space and also will feature a $40 million public fine art program.
The core team of designers includes green-minded architects like Pelli Clarke Pelli, Foster + Partners, and Rafael Vinoly. The developers have made a conscious effort to include tradesmen who are educated in green building practices. MGM MIRAGE has trained over 10,000 construction trade and craftsmen on green building techniques that are already being practiced at the site.


Czeers MK1 is a solar powered boat with semi custom electrical motor that can hit 30 knots. Czeers MK1 is developed by Dutch company Czeers Solarboats with 3 important requirements : solar power, high-performance, and stunning looks. The boat features photovoltaic cells on almost all horizontal surfaces and an LCD touch-screen control system. It measures 10 meters in length, and 14 square meters of solar panels and an 80kw electric motor are incorporated in it. Czeers MK1 is meant to be a luxury boat which mean the interior elements are made of the highest quality materials, the leather seats and sunbeds are made by Perida.


Setzer Design Group has announced the premier of “S-70,” one of 16 futuristic designs from 30 to 80 meters to be introduced this summer as the award-winning superyacht design studio completely rewrites its own successful play book. This new flagship design, a 70-meter, plumb bow mega-yacht called Brazen Sea, offers a glimpse of what is emerging as the Cary, NC-based studio introduces its new “Vision Line.” Transforming elegantly from traditionally designed vessels to contemporary styling, this Brazen Sea is an ideal paradigm of avant-garde mega yachts that will rule the seas soon.
This superyacht includes deck levels plus large, below-waterline holds and systems spaces. Powered by an environmentally and economically sensible Diesel-Electric drive system and capable of cruising speeds of 15 knots, the hull design has been refined to provide world travel capabilities in comfort and style. The megayacht has a multi level glass elevator, a grand theater space with seating for 16, a spa, a gym on two floors and a hangar for helicopter. It is also equipped with six large guest cabins and one master with nearby office/den complete with a private meeting area and video link studio.

When you say Dubai you say Future..Dubai is coming out to be the next destination as far as architectural designs are concerned. An example of the same is the Strata tower, a forty story, luxury residential building designed by architects Hani Rashid and Lise Anne Couture of Asymptote. The work has started on the Al Raha Beach and is slated to be completed by early 2011.
The tower would be 160 meters high and will be tallest building in the Al Dana precinct, which is the centerpiece of Aldar Properties PJSC’s prestigious Al Raha Beach development. The project and its development shall be showcased at Cityscape Abu Dhabi from May 13–15, 2008. the Strata Tower is designed to signify an important and dignified future for the Abu Dhabi and the surrounding region.
