Silbervogel Gravity Racing Car by Jakob Hirzel

The name of the car pictured comprises most of the words above but in a more organised manner; Silbervogel gravity racing car, but for its nature I had to opt for a head such as this as it is moulded on low resistance ergonomics, leaving nothing but extreme gravity to rely on. Designed for the Extreme Gravity Series in Irvine California, the Silbervogel racing car could be a sure shot winner considering the spirit of the competition. What’s more is the fact that it does not sport an engine, relies on light and rigid details to counter the physical forces and is a pure gravitation race car. Won’t finally give you an explanation why the rims look so astutely rigid, for you should know the reason by now.

 Paul Villinski’s incredible flying sculptures

Human civilization has come a long way in imitating the flight of its winged friends and this stupendous collection of flying sculptures by New York-based artist Paul Villinski is but a fitting collection to the once-impossible dream. Currently on display at the Museum of Arts and Design in the ‘Pricked: Extreme Embroidery’ section, the collection features sculptures and designs made from objects as unrelated to flight as a chainsaw and wheelchairs and seem simply out of this world with their rayon and muslin fabrics and wire, steel, aluminum and wood bodies.

No-touch TV remote control concept

This super-futuristic remote control concept by a Dutch design student can help you control your TV without having to touch the remote. Perfect for when your hands may be dirty while cooking, gardening or fine-tuning your car, the no-touch remote lets you adjust volume by moving your hand over or under it. To change channels you will have to flick a finger through the cavity in the middle, to turn the TV off, you will have to make two fingers meet in the middle of the cavity, and to turn it back on, you’ll have to part two fingers the same way. Sounds a bit complicated but it could really be handy when you have your hands covered in tomato pulp, dirt or grease.
